The Miura Tourist Volunteer Guide Association

Nature & History, walk, see and learn about Miura
We are a volunteer guide group consisting of about 30 members and supporting tourists from inside and outside of the Kanagawa prefecture. We offer our guests the opportunity to experience the following:
In Miura, downtown Misaki offers an atmosphere reminiscent of a Showa period townscape. There you will notice wooden built houses with Kura (traditional Japanese storage building). Three Imperial Palaces: Cherry Blossom, Camellia and Peach built by the Minamotono Yoritomo. “Arai-jo” ruins, the final castle of the Miura Clan.Views of the tranquil bay of Aburatsubo-wan.

We will guide you the along appropriate routes to recall the history of this area. In early spring, we’ll guide you to Jogashima Island Park, where the air will be full of daffodil fragrance. Every Saturday and Sunday, we offer guided sightseeing at Sanchoku Center (Direct Sales Center, “Urari”). We have also earned a good reputation for our fish market tour, which is popular with elementary school students. We do guided tuna fishing trips for about ten thousand students annually.

There are three routes listed below. We are also happy to work with you to customize a course that meets your specific needs.

Please feel free to call us anytime for a guided tour.
